Don't Steal My Eggs Secrets: What's Verified and How to Trigger It

The 'OP SECRET' in Don't Steal My Eggs is Roblox admin commands, not a player mechanic. Five real hidden interactions, plus the claims that fail verification.

Quick answer: the "OP SECRET" promoted in Don't Steal My Eggs videos is not a mechanic you can use. The one overpowered run that explains itself is done with Roblox admin commands — the creator hands himself the game's best treadmill, trail, a Yeti and enormous speed, then admits, "You're not supposed to be able to defeat it this fast." What is real: five little-flagged interactions any normal player can reproduce — the top-left auto-play toggle, the free gift pot at the bottom of the shop, playtime rewards that pay pets plus billions in cash, the 500-diamond permanent boost prompt next to the shop, and hiding placed eggs between bushes so they hatch out of sight. Each is below with its trigger, location and observable result.

What the "OP SECRET" videos actually show

The "OP SECRET" framing is a video premise, not a hidden system. One creator announces "We're going to have an OP secret at some point" before he even knows how to play, and later casually calls an ordinary hatching a "T-Rex egg secret." The overpowered run comes from a different video, where the creator says "shout out to admin commands" while upgrading his cash multiplier, gives himself the i2 treadmill ("We gave ourselves the best one"), the best rainbow trail, the yeti transformation and extra speed ("I have given myself what I believe is enough speed"), and closes with: "I did use that main command, so it was way easier for me. You're not supposed to be able to defeat it this fast."

No footage shows a special secret mechanic a normal player can use to copy those runs. What the same videos do show, almost in passing, are the five interactions below. Each has a specific place, a specific action and a shown result. This list covers what that footage pins down; it is not a claim that nothing else is hidden in the game.

1. Auto-play: the top-left toggle that catches thieves for you

When a thief outpaces you — one creator complains "I can't even catch the first animal" — look at the top left of the screen and switch auto-play on ("Turn on auto-play from the top left"). Your character then chases and catches the thief by itself, and while it's left on, the game starts the next chase on its own: "that had auto play on. So now it's doing it again." Creators re-enable it before chases throughout their runs. It's the closest thing to the videos' "OP" catching, and it works on thieves you can't outrun manually. For everything else that keeps eggs safe, see the egg protection guide.

2. The free gift pot at the bottom of the shop

Open the shop and scroll to the very bottom. Paid versions of the same pots exist — one player paid 50 Robux each for his — but the gift pot sitting at the bottom of the list (with the training pot just above it) can be claimed without paying: "I'm getting this for free." A second video shows what that free starter set contains: 1,000 cash, a train potion you can equip, and a free animal. Place the free animal — a lizard in the shown run — in your base and it earns cash ("two lizards giving us some cash"). The pot's exact cash payout isn't shown on screen; the items above are what's visible. The same run notes that release codes usually throw in something extra — current ones live on the codes page.

3. Playtime rewards: pets and billions for staying in the server

The playtime rewards panel pays pets plus cash, and it has one hard rule: "Leaving resets progress. I'm not leaving." Stay in the server and claim the tiers from the panel ("Claim. Claim") — or skip them; one creator skipped every entry and collected anyway. Shown rewards run from an owl, a giraffe and a snail through cash tiers to "Billions. 500 billion" — enough that one player immediately bought the gold, diamond, devil, desert, aqua, lava, galaxy and Jurassic treadmills "all for just getting the playtime rewards," and hit the T-Rex transformation right after. Two caveats: the claim button briefly bugged for one creator ("it's bugged right now") before "everything popped up at once," and the footage doesn't show how often tiers repeat or the full reward list. The speed training guide covers the treadmill ladder this money buys, and the cash guide the spending order.

4. The 500-diamond permanent boost next to the shop

"There is an E next to the shop." Press E at that marker and a purchase offer opens: "permanent boost says 500 diamonds." It's gated on diamonds ("If you have enough diamonds, you can buy it"), and the same spot is where diamonds get spent. Honest limit: the players shown had 14 and 0 diamonds, so nobody completed the purchase on screen. The prompt and offer are real and reproducible, but what the boost actually adds — speed, cash, something else — was never demonstrated. Don't buy it expecting a known number; read the offer's own text once you have the diamonds.

5. Hiding placed eggs between bushes

After thieves repeatedly broke and moved his eggs, one creator went deliberate: "I'll place a hidden egg here... hidden there," tucking placed eggs between bushes until "my eggs have become hidden." The tactic produced at least one concealed hatch — "one of my eggs hatched; it was hidden there between the bushes" — and he paired it with fences. Two caveats: hiding is not absolute (one egg "shows a little," another player moved it out of its spot and tried to break it), and the fence side of the setup is ordinary defense — the egg protection guide covers it. Normal hatching rules otherwise apply; the hatching guide has those.

Claims that stay unverified

  • Pink chickens reviving their owner. One transcript line — "I have some pink chickens here that revive me" — with no trigger or effect ever demonstrated. Treat it as a claim, not a mechanic.
  • Gifting pets. Asked "Can it be gifted?", a creator answers "Yes, it can be" and promises to gift at the end of the video. No completed gift is shown, so the steps and repeatability are unconfirmed.
  • The permanent boost's numeric gain. The 500-diamond purchase is never completed on screen (see above).
  • The "T-Rex egg secret." That label is a creator's casual comment on an ordinary hatching, not a special hatch mechanic.

What isn't a secret

Rebirth, treadmills, trail shops, transformation progression, base expansion and game passes are core visible systems the same videos show plainly — packaging them as secrets would just re-describe the normal game. They have their own guides: rebirth, pets and game passes.

How to reproduce all five in one session

  1. Claim the free set first. Open the shop, scroll to the very bottom, and claim the gift pot. Equip the train potion and place the free animal in your base. Success check: you hold 1,000 cash and new items without spending Robux.
  2. Switch on auto-play (top left) when a thief grabs an egg — or just leave it on. Success: your character chases and catches without your input, then starts the next chase itself.
  3. Stay in the server and claim playtime rewards as tiers unlock. Leaving resets progress. If the claim button does nothing, give it a moment — one creator's panel briefly bugged, then paid everything out at once.
  4. Save 500 diamonds for the E prompt next to the shop if you want the permanent boost — and read what the offer says when you can afford it, since its gain is unverified.
  5. Place eggs between bushes to hatch them hidden. Success: an egg hatches while concealed — but don't forget it entirely; one hidden egg was spotted, moved and attacked.

All five come from gameplay footage recorded at an unknown past date, so an update can change any trigger. If one stops reproducing, retest it and check what changed on the updates page.
